The Clinical Skills Training and Conference Center of HKU-Shenzhen Hospital is committed to catering the needs of standardized clinical training and offer a state-of-the-art platform for academic exchange Nationally and Internationally. Established in September 2016, the Center, in the first phase construction, was equipped with simulated operating room, simulated ward, multi-functional laboratory and lecture room, fulfilled the needs of basic simulation training.

In July 2020, the second phase of the Center was completed with over 40 million RMB funded by the Shenzhen Government, and by generous donations from  entrepreneur from Hong Kong SAR, which cover a total usable area of over 6000 square meters. The comprehensive functions of the Clinical Skills Training and Conference Center includes 11 conference halls and auditoriums, animal operation facilities, OSCE examination center, telemedicine room, multi-functional training room, etc., which can meet the needs of basic clinical training, assessment and advanced skills training. The 400-square-meter animal operation center is the largest of its kinds in Southern China. It is equipped with 10 animal operation tables and 3 sets of laparoscopic systems, with a veterinarian and an animal care-taker employed. The Center provides teaching, assessment, and simulation training and for interns, senior residents and specialists in Shenzhen and the rest of Guangdong Province.
