Dr. Yuan’s work focuses on broad-spectrum antiviral development against emerging viruses. His representative publications include Nature, Science and Lancet. He is one of the world's top 1% scholars by citations and as a "Highly Cited Researcher" in 2021 (Clarivate). Dr. Yuan is awarded the ‘2021 MCE Best Contribution Award’ for scientists promoting biology and medicine research (MedChemExpress USA). He is also supported by The Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF) Research Fellowship from Health Bureau of HKSAR Government.
